This competition is inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Venice Carnival and ties into the Venice Biennale’s overarching theme, "Foreigners Everywhere," encouraging a deeper exploration of personal authenticity and societal roles. Eligibility: Open to all artists worldwide, regardless of their formal artistic education or background. Artists can submit works in various media including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and performance art. Submission Guidelines: Each artist is allowed to submit one artwork that has not been previously exhibited. Submissions must include a title, a brief description of the work (no more than 300 words), and an explanation of how it relates to the theme of masks and identity. Digital images of the artwork should be submitted in high resolution (at least 300 dpi). Video or performance artists should submit a link to a hosted video (no longer than 5 minutes).
